is it a common practice for jw parents to kick their children out of the home, if the child doesn't want to be a jw.
(even though their not disfellowshipped they will still get kicked out for not going to meetings etc.??).
do other religions encourage kicking family members out this as well?
i know one ex who was kicked out--the same day she told her dad she didnt want to carry on pioneering--or attending. she was 18.
a former friend ( i was his best man ) kicked out his daughter when she left the cult. hasnt seen her for years--she went to australia. ( from the UK )

i live in nyc and dad jw called me crying about a hall that has about 500 jws going down to 2 congs
i thought--for a moment--his "crong" was some sort of kinky underwear.

a quick look---and it looked good to me.
recently quit being a jw because i realised that beyond armageddon i was going to be ruled by people who cover up child abuse, not telling the congregations by their letter where the money they donated in the box is going towards paying compensation for legal battles which they caused, and also i was bullied by elders and discriminated against for being homosexual, even though i am not practicing it.
it wasn't until i threatened legal action for a breach of confidence that the elders were deleted.
so through the media and my own personal experience, i realised that they were no different to corrupt businesses in the world.

i've noticed that some elders will insist on getting a special bethel speaker for memorials, special talks, or sometimes for no reason at all!
i believe they are trying build connections they can use later, but who pays for it?
the congregation does and as a former account servant i can tell you airfare isn't all that cheap.
i never knew this sort of thing went on.

most jws i know claim they are happy being in the great crowd.
they'd rather live on a paradise earth and pet lions than go to heaven.. heaven is a place they can't relate to, a place where they don't expect their friends and loved ones to be.. so why are more and more jws claiming to be of the anointed?.
aren't they looked down upon as if they are crazy, proud, ignorant, or engaging in apostate thinking?.

just wanted to share with you some good news i'm really excited about.
i have been accepted for university to study psychology and counseling.
my goal is to become a counselor and, in time, to specialize on treating those who have left high control relationships/groups like we all did.. it'll take a few years before im qualified but studying in university has been a dream of mine since i was 12, which was systematically dashed to pieces by watchtower.. .

i think getting them to agree to a private place would give you an edge (even if the egde of their sword closer to home).
if i'm ever hauled before their kangaroo court i will only go on one of three conditions .1 non jw venue .2 with legal representation .
3 the recording of proceedings.
i just dont get all this making it tough for a judicial committee.
if a person has done / is doing something they know is against the cult rules---just suck it up. either meet with the committee--or dont. either way--he /she will get kicked out--isnt that what they want ?
you cant remain a cult member if you dont accept their rules.
